Zante, a Greek Paradise to Discover
Welcome to the captivating Zante (Or Zakynthos), one of Greece's most famous and enchanting islands. Its diverse coastline, picturesque landscapes, and breathtaking sunsets make Zante a true haven for nature and sea lovers.

How to Get There and Getting Around
To dive right into Zante's beauty, flying is the best option, saving you time and offering more exploration. However, for the adventurous, a journey by sea provides a unique experience and the chance to savor local products. Personally, I opted to rent a scooter, but quad bikes and cars are equally recommended, especially for those wanting to explore the island's various attractions. Buses also operate and are very affordable, though during summer, the heat and crowds can make it a less enjoyable option. For car or scooter rentals, I suggest researching online before departing, especially if traveling from mid-July onward. If you decide to rent upon arrival, inquire at 4-5 shops before accepting a rate, or the lifeguards often assist in finding solutions at half the price.

Top 10 Must-Do Activities
Spectacular Boat Trips: Embark on a boat tour to admire the secluded islets and beaches unreachable from the mainland, an experience where you might spot unique marine animals.
Snorkeling or Diving: Skip the glass-bottom boat trip (to save money) to see turtles. Instead, grab a mask and snorkel; you might find them just meters from the shore.
Explore the Inland: Getting lost with a scooter or car in the inland towards the north of the island offers a splendid experience. Discover historic cities and natural marine parks, and dine at local agriturismi.
Where to Stay
For ages 18 to 25, Laganas Beach is a great option, or if you're into vibrant nightlife and youth culture. But beware of groups causing problems. For a more mature crowd, couples, or those who prefer a quieter evening, my personal preference order includes Tsilivi, Zante City, Alykes, and Laganas (Sostis side for a calmer experience). I don't recommend Argassi, lacking a proper beach and being filled with touristy shops and restaurants. Kalamaki has a nice beach, but the evening experience without transportation might not be ideal.

Breathtaking Beaches and Sea to Explore
In no particular order, don't miss these stunning beaches and coves:
Gerakas (a nudist area is at the far end)
Porto Azzurro or Porto Roma
Dafni
Porto Roxa
Porto Limnionas
Navagio - reach it by boat from the sea to fully appreciate it.
Alykes, Alykanas
Between Zante City and Alykanas, explore secluded coves, often adjacent to villas or residences, offering fabulous uncrowded waters.

Culinary Delights
Greek cuisine is flavorful and delicious, even in touristy restaurants. Be cautious of seaside restaurants with maritime names, as they may have limited seafood options. Ordering a Meze is a must - a mixed plate with 7-8 different appetizers/sides. Read menus and check prices before ordering. Try SizzleBang Grill in Laganas for a family-run traditional experience, or Pirounaki in Lag Kadakia - no menu, just what's available. It's inland, so arrange transportation, but for €12 you'll enjoy a full meal with wine and dessert.

My Opinion: Zante's Charm
In my opinion, Zante is an island for teenagers, couples, families with children, nature lovers, relaxation seekers, and fun enthusiasts. It might not be the best for single individuals aged 25-40 solely seeking vibrant nightlife, as Laganas, the only nightlife hub, attracts an 18-20 age group.
